The Most Amazing Brunch and Steak – Day 17

Date: 20th August 2017

Explored

We started our day in the Magic Kingdom where we rode Pirates of the Caribbean and Jungle Cruise one of the funniest cast members I have ever met. Literally all aboard the banter bus or in this case boat! We then got a boat over to the Grand Floridian for Brunch. We had a little look around the resort which is so clean and white it looks amazing.

After brunch we hopped onto the Monorail and headed over to Epcot. Here we rode Test Track and Reflections of China. We also looked in many of the shops around Epcot and started deciding on things we wanted to buy to take home. We of course stopped at Cava del Tequila where we had a cucumber and berry margarita which was the best as always.

Food and Drink

When planning the holiday we called this day the “big 4” day, as we were using 4 table service credits for two meals in one day. It was the only way the reservations worked out.

  • Narcoossee’s for their Brunch, absolutely amazing and so tasty. We had bottomless prosecco or mimosas included in the price. The sever then brought over a pastry basket filled with muffins and pastries with hibiscus flower butter and jam. After a second round of pastry Mike choose the Artisan Cheeses from around the world with prosciutto and chutney followed by a Croque Madame. I choose the romaine salad followed by chicken and waffles. For desert we shared a blood orange bar, triple chocolate cake and a lemon blueberry timbale. This was an amazing place with a great view of the lake. The staff were amazing the food was delicious. We used two dining plan credits each and all was included. We will be back!
  • Yachtsman’s Steakhouse was another amazing place to eat. On the way in you can see the butchers  and all the different cuts of meat. We shared the 32-oz porterhouse for two with a trio of steak fries (beef fat potatoes, creamy spinach and mushrooms). We ended with Lime Semifreddo and carrot cake. The food was to die for the steak was cooked perfectly and was so soft, you could cut it with a butter knife. We were absolutely stuffed but it was totally worth it.

Dining Plan Value: Today we spent $297.98 which made our total $ 1397.28
