Drinking Around the World – Day 19

Date: 22nd August 2017

We started the day with meeting Baymax which Mike was desperate to do. I got a cwtch and Mike got the fist bump, good start to the day. We then bought a passport that you get signed in each country and decided to get it signed once we had a drink in each country.

We loved this day, Drinking and Eating Around the world. So the challenge is to each have a drink each in every country in the World Showcase. We also had to at least share a snack. Challenge excepted, let’s go!

Food: Teppan Edo which was amazing, they cook your whole meal in front of you on these huge hot plates. They made small volcanoes with slices onion and really interacted with the table. So cool and you could see that the food was super fresh. We shared a soup and edamame beans to start. For main Mike had chicken and prawns and I had steak and prawns. We would highly recommend for a different eating experience.

Snack: Sushi from Kabuki café which was also really nice.

Drinks: Japanese beers with our meal.

Other: We looked around in the shop and bought some Japanese drinks and sweets. We also bought some chop sticks for when we make sushi at home.

Snacks: Les Halles Boulangerie Patisseri where we had a Pain au Chocolat and a Palmier Cinnamon and Chocolate Elephant Ear. Both were really crispy and good.

Drinks: Les Vins where we had a Grand Marnier and Grey Goose Slush and a Grey Goose Citreon Slush.

Other: We also went into Impressions of France where Mike had a good 10 minute nap as I watched the scenery of France roll by.

We decided against a snack here as we are from the UK nothing really took our fancy and you should have seen the prices for a pack of Mcvitie’s biscuits!

Drinks: Rose and Crown pub where Mike had a Guinness and I has a snakebite and black.

Drinks: Mike had a Moosehead Beer and I had a cocktail both were nice.

Snack: We researched so much on the drinking and eating around the world and nearly on every blog/vlog people were raving about the Cronut. This is a cross between a donut and a croissant. We were really excited but we didn’t really like it. We felt it was a little greasy and full of oil. Though maybe we had one that had been laying out for a while!

Snacks and Drinks: Well we are in our favourite pavilion for food and drink and there was only one place to go. Of course we went to Cava del Tequila for the third time this holiday. We shared chips and dips and we both had margarita. I was adventurous and tried the avocado margarita which was amazing.

Snacks and Drinks: We went to Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe where we shared a school bread which is super tasty. Mike had the glacier shot which was so strong, I had a wine.

Snacks and Drinks: We went to Joy of Tea where we shared Chicken Curry Pocket and Egg Rolls. I had a Mango Gingerita with vodka and rum. Mike had Tipsy Ducks in Love with bourbon whiskey, coffee, black tea, cream and chocolate syrup.

It was at this point we felt really full and didn’t know how we would fit anything else in. We had a little break and walked around the pavilion.

Drinks: We had the grapefruit beer which is so nice and refreshing.

Drinks and Snack: Fife and drum for red stag frozen lemonade and a mickey shaped pretzel.

Other: We also saw the American Adventure which we both slept through, must be all the food and drink. We also watched illuminations at this point. We decided that we prefer the view from the other side of the lake looking onto all of the countries as they all light up.

Drinks and Snacks: Tangierine Café where we shared the Shawarma Chicken and Lamb served with hummus, tabbouleh and couscous salad and fresh Moroccan bread. This food was so good but hard to enjoy as we were so full already. We also had beers here.

Drink: We had prosecco to finish off our night. We had to miss the snack here.

Well we made it just! We were full and needed to go to bed, but again successfully completed the drinking around the world challenge .

TOP TIP!! Always drink water in between, something we remember the next day, remember it is still a family park and therefore not cool to get hammered in the middle of the day. This was a whole day and evening extra magical hours so we did spread it out.

Dining Plan Value: We used a lot of snack credits today and spent $134.66 which makes the total $1561.88.
