Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party
Yes you heard right a Halloween Party in August, we were so excited for this. I remember reading it online back in June and nearly crying that we could finally visit this. We booked it straight away. So party guests were allowed to enter Magic Kingdom at 4pm. TOP TIP! If you are a resort guest make use of the quieter time before 4pm. Before the party we managed to ride Big Thunder Mountain, Buzz Lightyear and few of the classics. For lunch we ate in Peco Bills Tall Tale Inn …again and shared nachos and fajitas. These were super yummy, I still want the toppings bar at my house. We also had to ride the Haunted Mansion seems as we were in the Halloween party. This was so much fun and the first time we’d actually been on it!
It was then time to join the party so we got into line for our wristbands, trick or treat bags and maps. By this point I was beyond excited. We went to one of the treat locations thinking they give you a few sweets. Oh No, they give you handfuls of sweets, like a ridiculous amount. We then saw the seven dwarfs and thought the line wasn’t too bad, we were wrong. We queued up nearly three hours for a photo, but it was totally worth it. It’s the only time you can meet all seven together and I was so happy… I mean look at that face, I got right in the middle, fully involved! However this ate into our night a lot.
The next big things to see was the Fireworks Show, Boo To You Parade and the Hocus Pocus Show. All of which were amazing and the tunes are so catchy we ended up singing the Boo To You song for months afterwards… and still do now occasionally. We even got to saw the headless horse man, who starts off the parade but only if it’s dry! This party is totally worth the extra cash. I only wish we had more time to really see all the characters but the lines were long and the time flies by. TOP TIP! If you want the Halloween snacks get them early as they ran out really quickly and we were unable to get what we wanted.
We went back to the room and sorted all our stuff out ready to fly. We had collected so much candy we had to leave half of it as we didn’t have the room or weight for it in our bags. Another amazing holiday over, I have to wait another 4 years to visit WDW again as those are our rules… well it’s Mike’s rule for me.
Dining Plan Value: Today we spent $110.50 making our total for our entire trip $1840.38, this made the dining plan 100% worth our money. We also spent a lot of snack credits of souvenir treats for family!
