Packing Hand Luggage for a Week

We are the King and Queen of packing for a holiday. It always baffles me how I can pack a rucksack for 16 night summer holiday because we have hand luggage only. However give me a hold case of up to 23kg and I can bet you I will be dead on the weight limit…or a little bit over 😉

So we went to Northern Ireland for a week at the end of May. We didn’t have a clue what the weather was going to do as it had been really hot across the UK the last few weeks with the odd cold day in between, the Northern Ireland coastline is also known for having unpredictable weather. So basically we had to pack for all eventualities. Luckily we did as we had mostly sunny and hot days but we also had two cold, cloudy and drizzly days in the middle.

At this time, Ryanair had changed its hand luggage policy. We were allowed to take a cabin baggage which they then put in the hold free of charge and a small personal bag. So above are the two bags we took. We take the large purple rucksacks every time we fly with hand luggage. I also took a small rucksack as my personal item to hold all the electronics.

We try and layer up while on holiday as then it covers all weather occasions. On the cold days I wore my dresses with the cardigans or jumpers.

Beauty

In that liquids bag that’s a pain while travelling hand luggage only here is what I pack. We buy a bottle of shampoo and conditioner from departures.
